Home Exercises

Join Chiropractor Karli Plowright of Nomad Chiropractic in Mosman, NSW as she takes you through some options for home exercises that may help you/you child to integrate the retained primitive reflex; which could significantly improve the related symptoms or signs.

THE STEPS:

1) EYE TRACKING
- Lie face down on the floor/bed with head off the ground and both arms out infront with thumbs pointing upward.
- Move straight arm out to 90 degrees (drag along the ground)
+ Follow with head keeping eyes focused on the thumb (over a count of 5 seconds)
Slow and controlled movement
- Move arm back to neutral
+ Follow with head keeping eyes focused on the thumb (over a count of 5 seconds)
- REPEAT on the other side
+ REPEAT!

2) SUPERMAN!
-
Lie on the floor with arms straight out Infront of you
- Hold a superman position
-
i.e Lift arms and feet off the ground
- Hold for 10 seconds; relax; + repeat!
+ REPEAT!

3) BIRD DOG
Come into an all 4s position with hands and knees on ground.
-
With opposite arm/leg (eg right arm and left leg), straighten them out infront/behind you and look straight ahead.
- Hold this position nice and controlled;
- Return to neutral (on all 4s) (
- Repeat the opposite side!

AND REPEAT!
